How to Get Your Car Seat to Stay Up
Posted On July 26, 2021
2 seater seats in a kayak can be very difficult to get the right fit for, and you’ll need to know the correct way to attach them to your vehicle.
Here’s how to get them installed correctly.
Prepare your car seat for use and attach it to your kayak.
If you have a 3-point harness, attach it directly to the seat.
If not, tie the strap through the seat back so that the seat stays up.
The strap should be attached to the front of the seat and to the kayak’s hull.
Take a piece of leather, such as a belt buckle, and attach the strap to the car seat, with the strap being tied to the underside of the belt buckle.
The straps should then be attached using a leather or rubber strap.
This way, the strap won’t fray, and will keep the carseat securely in place.
When you’re finished, you can then attach the seat directly to your car’s dashboard, as shown in the picture above.
You can then install the seat’s adjustable straps, as illustrated in the next picture.
Note that the straps must be adjusted to the angle of the kayaking vehicle.
This can be done either by hand or with a tool such as the angle wrench.
Take the seat out of the car and attach an adjustable strap to each end of the strap.
When your car is completely dry, it’s time to test the seat by putting the seat in a swimming pool.
Make sure you attach the straps as shown.
Make a note of the angle to the paddling line and make sure the straps are snugly attached.
If they’re not, it may be time to adjust the straps.
If the straps aren’t tight enough, you may have to use a rubber strap to attach the belt to the straps to tighten them.
Once your car seats have been installed, they’re time to check them to make sure they’re secure and comfortable.
Check the strap, the seat, and the kayaks steering column to make certain they’re in good shape.
If everything is okay, you should be able to put the seat on your kayaks seat, or you can let the seat sit on your car while you check it out.
After a few minutes, you’ll notice that your kayaking kayak will look different than it did before.
You’ll have to check it again to make it comfortable, but it’s a good idea to do so, since you’ll want to use it again later.
Now that you’ve got your kayakers seat installed, it can be easy to forget about the seat for the rest of the day.
You may notice that the kayaker’s paddling lines appear a little flatter, but they’re still stable enough to be comfortable.
Keep your eyes on the kayakers paddling spot for at least 10 minutes before starting to paddle, since it may take longer for the kayAK to get ready to paddle.
When the paddlers paddling spots have cleared, it is time to put your kayaker back into the water.
You should be ready to start paddling again in about 30 minutes, and your kayaked kayak should be back in your car.
Remember, if you have trouble putting the kayaked seat on, it could be the difference between life and death.
